Bitcoin Price Jumps Over the $60K Zone, Crypto Economy’s Market Cap Climbs Above $2 Trillion – Markets and Prices Bitcoin News


Cryptocurrency markets collected further gains this weekend, with bitcoin jumping above the $60,000 mark to $61,222 per unit in Saturday morning’s (EST) trading sessions. In addition, a number of digital assets have seen their prices rise, with the total market capitalization of the 9,190 existing crypto assets now exceeding $2 trillion.

Just after 01:00. (Eastern time), the market valuation of the entire crypto economy rose 3% on Saturday. Bitcoin (BTC) reached a high of $61,222 per unit, approaching the crypto asset’s all-time high (ATH) reached last month. BTC is currently trading just above $60,000, having lost some profits in the past few hours. BTC is still up over 2% today and has a market cap of about $1.1 trillion.

The second-largest market for ETH (ETH) rose 3 percent on Saturday, with each ETH trading at $2.144 per unit. While BTC’s market dominance among the existing 9,190 crypto assets is 55%, the Ethereum market posted 12.1% this weekend. The three digital assets account for just over 2% of the value of the entire crypto economy, which includes BNB, USDT and XRP.

BNB rose sharply on Saturday, as 24-hour statistics show the token is trading at $478 per unit and up more than 7 percent in the past 24 hours. The XRP has risen 20% against the US dollar and is trading at $1.22 per coin.

Saturday’s top 20 crypto assets also saw Bitcoin Cash (BCH) up 2.8%, Filecoin (FIL) up 6.2%, Star (XLM) up 9.2% and Veche (VET) up 8%.

By far the biggest riser is the bit-z (BZ) token, up 16,448% today, followed by the electrified Asian token (ELEC), up over 200%.

On Saturday, the biggest loser in the crypto-currency market belongs to bug coins (BEET), which lost over 53%, followed by flourishing tokens (THRT) which fell over 38%. In a press release, some market cap aggregators say the total crypto economy is estimated at $2.04 trillion, while others say $2.033 trillion as of Saturday morning.
